German is like at least 50% understandable if you’re fluent in English
Because cognates, right – words that sound similar in two languages and mean the same thing. English is after all a Germanic language.
So like “Hallo. Mein Name ist Nicky. Ich bin homosexuell” obviously means “Hello. My name is Nicky. I am homosexual.”
BUT
False cognates are also a thing
So PSA that when Nicky was arguing with Aaron in the locker room:
What he actually yelled was “DIESE IST EINE MANNSCHAFTSSPORT!” and his teammates were staring at him wondering why he sounded so upset whilst talking about dicks, because this is Nicky.
